Job summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will work with our data scientists and software engineers to build several data science products including data science platform, outlier detection engine product, etc. You may also need to work closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals. You will also work with a team and be responsible for integrating our solution with the existing architecture of the clients.

Responsibilities and duties

• Understanding data science problems and solutions provided by senior data scientists
• Implementing data manipulating (including ETL) before it can be used for modelling
• Developing basic machine learning models for testing purpose
• Integrating different components developed by different teams to a framework

Qualifications and skills (requirement)

• BA/BS (or Master’s degree preferred) with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Sciences) – Fresh graduates are welcome
• Proficiency in Python programming or Java
• SQL-based technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL and MySQL)

Qualifications and skills (good to have)

• Knowledgeable about feature engineering and data manipulation
• Experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, EMR and RDS.
• DevOps tools such as Docker and VM
• Familiar with Linux and Ubuntu operating system
• Worked in a startup environment
